The AUD is facing a bumper RBA week with both the monthly policy decision and quarterly forecasts all due for release, Barclays Capital strategists note.

"Although the global economic outlook improved in past two months, Australian employment indicators, Australian commodity prices and inflation all declined in this period," they say.

"Consequently, we believe the RBA will cut 25bp at the February meeting."
